This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a VEHICLE THEFT case, which occurred on January 28, 2024 at Dorsett Automotive.  Please take a look at the photos.

January 28, 2024 an unknown individual entered the property of Dorsett Automotive. This individual was able to make entry into a 2014 Dodge Charger, gray in color. The suspect fled with the vehicle and his whereabouts are unknown. 

Burglary E-cigs

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a BURGLARY case, which occurred on December 30, 2023 at a southern Vigo County business. Please take a look at the photos and help identify the male and female.

On December 30, 2023 an unknown individual entered the Indy E-Cigs business by breaking out the storefront window. The individual entered the store and began tossing out several vape packages to another individual who was standing outside of the store. The suspect appeared to be dressed in all dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt, while wearing Nike shoes.

Wanted Person-Bowman

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help locating a wanted subject.  Please take a look at the photo.

 Chad Bowman is wanted out of Division 5 for Possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony) and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with Endangering a Person. Bowman is a white male, 5 feet 2 inches, 90 pounds, brown hair, and blue eyes.

Midwest RV Theft

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a theft case, which occurred on November 13, 2023 at Midwest RV on East Harlan Drive in southern Vigo County. The suspect entered the business property and took a 2006 JAYCO Camper. The suspect was seen entering onto the property in an older Dodge pickup truck. Please take a look at the photos.

The suspect truck is white with paint missing on the rear of the vehicle. The truck also has a tool box in the bed.

Casey's Theft
November 08, 2023

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a theft case, which occurred on October 29, 2023 at the Casey’s Gas Station located at US 41 and Jessica Drive in southern Vigo County. Three suspects entered the store and took nearly $4,000 worth of cigarettes. One of the suspects was located and arrested shortly after the thefts. Detectives would like the other two individuals identified. Please take a look at the photos.

The suspects were black males with a slime build. One male had all black attire with a shaved head. The other male had a tan stocking hat, camo jacket, and tan pants.

Burglary of Auto Body Repair Shop

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a burglary case, which occurred on October 29, 2023 at an auto body repair shop in southern Vigo County. The business owner interrupted the burglary and held the suspect at gun point before the suspect ultimately fled from the building. Please take a look at the photos.

The suspect was wearing camo pants and a zip up hoodie. A motorcycle was later found outside the building that is suspected to have been the vehicle used by the suspect. It was later found out to be stolen from the City of Terre Haute.

Walmart Theft and Fraud

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a FRAUD AND THEFT case, which occurred on September 10, 2023 at Local Walmart stores. Please take a look at the photos and help identify the male and female.

 On September 10, 2023 a male and female individuals entered several local Walmart Stores in the area and began purchasing items with a stolen credit card.  The pair got away with several thousand dollars’ worth of items from the stores. 

Fraud @ Best Buy

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a FRAUD case, which occurred on August 31, 2023 at Best Buy, Please take a look at the photos.

On August 31, 2023 a male subject entered Best Buy and began purchasing items.  The male paid several thousand dollars with a stolen credit card.  The male is a white male with a beard.

Hobby Lobby Theft

This week’s Crime stoppers report comes from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office.  Detectives are needing your help solving a Theft case, which occurred on May 6, 2023 at Hobby Lobby (Terre Haute, IN). Please take a look at the photos.

On May 6, 2023, a male subject entered Hobby Lobby and began selecting various items.  He later exited the store; failing to pay for the merchandise. He is a white male, with brown or red hair and beard, and was accompanied by two minors.

Wanted Person-Doty

This week’s Crimestoppers need your help in locating a wanted individual.

Misty Doty is wanted on a Level 6 Felony out of Div 3 court for unlawful possession of a syringe. Misty is also a person of interest in a recent hit and run. Misty is a 26 year old white female, 5’2” 130lbs with red hair, blue eyes as seen in this photo.

Christopher Brown is wanted on a Level 3 Warrant for Dealing and Possession of Methamphetamine. Christopher is a 32 year old white male, 5’9” 160lbs with blonde hair, blue eyes and a beard as seen in this photo. Brown also has several tattoos on his right arm as seen in this photo.

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying suspects in a recent Theft.

On July 9,2023 . Vigo County Deputies took a theft report from Menards located at 1888 E Jessica Drive in Southern Vigo County. It was reported that a white male with a grey shirt, dark pants with several tattoos and a white female with blonde hair and a black dress with white stripes entered the store. They then selected items from the store and checked them out, and they left the store, later leaving in a grey 4 door SUV. It was later discovered by Menards staff that the barcodes of the items in which they purchased were changed. Detectives now need your help in identifying the suspects. Please look at these photos.

        This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying suspects in a recent theft.

On June 23,2023 at approximately 3:30pm Menards located at 1888 E Jessica Drive in Southern Vigo County contacted the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office in regards to a theft. Menards reported that on that date and time a white male with a black hat, red shirt, light pants and several tattoos entered the store and selected several items. The suspect is later seen exiting the store with those items without payment. The suspect then enters and light brown 4 door car and exits the parking lot. Now Detectives need your help in identifying the suspect. Please look at these images of the suspect and the vehicle.

Generator Theft

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying suspects in a recent theft.

On July 3rd, 2023 Deputies were contacted by the RJ Corman railroad group in regards to several of their generators that were stolen. They advised that they had Red and Black Honda EB5000x Generators (similar to this photo) chained at different railroad crossings in southern Vigo County near the areas of Gross, McDaniel and Eldridge Roads. They advised that the Generators would have RJ Corman on top of them along with a unit number listed on the side of the generator. Detectives need your help in identifying the suspects.

Abduction
June 23, 2023

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a recent abduction.

On April 26, 2023, The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Briggs St and SR 246 on an abduction. The victim had disclosed that she had encountered the suspect on Riley Rd near Moyer. The Victim had stopped because she believed she had struck a dog that had ran in front of her. The suspect allegedly armed with a knife then forced the victim to drive through southeastern Vigo County, eventually stopping in the area of 246. No Injuries were reported to the victim. The suspect is listed as a White male, approximately 30 years of age wearing jeans and a blue hoodie.  A composite was later completed and now Detectives need your help in identifying the suspect. Vehicle Break In's

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying suspects in several vehicle break in’s.

On June 3, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were called to the 2200 Block of North Tabortown Street on several vehicle break in’s. Upon arrival Deputies learned that several vehicles had been broken into and several items were taken from those vehicles. Nearby video surveillance caught two individuals at one of the vehicles as they were attempting to enter.  The two suspects are wearing light colored clothing and appear to be wearing masks.

Mt. Pleasant Church Burglary

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a suspect in a recent Burglary.

  On May 7th, 2023 Vigo County Deputies were called to the Mt Pleasant Church located at 3050 E Davis Drive on a Burglary. Once on scene Deputies were advised that a side door to exterior shed had been kicked in, and a Red Farris IS 700 Lawnmower, worth approximately 9,000.00, had been taken. Detectives are now needing your help in identifying suspects in this Burglary.

Cargo Trailer Theft
May 29, 2023

           This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in identifying a suspect in a recent theft.

  On May 18th, 2023 Deputies were called to the 8200 Block of E Old Maple Regarding a theft of a trailer. Upon arrival Deputies learned that 14ft double axel orange Diamond utility trailer had been stolen. Nearby footage caught a white newer Chevy Truck (possibly a Chevy Colorado ) take the trailer from the residence. Detectives now need your help in identifying the suspect in this case.

Burglary Hunt Street

This week’s Crimestoppers come from the files of the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office where Detectives need your help in solving a Burglary.

      On March 24, 2023 Vigo County Deputies responded to the 200 Block of N Hunt Street in eastern Vigo County on a Burglary. Upon arrival Deputies interviewed the victim who advised that several antique items were taken from their residence. Deputies were also given a still image of the suspect from a nearby camera.

   Detectives now ask for your help in identifying this suspect. Please look at this image. The suspect appears to be a white male who drives a dark colored 97-03 Ford F 150 with a LED light bar on top.
