All of us go in a bank, which is why police say we should think of what we would do in that scary circumstance.
“Do what they feel they need to do to stay safe, that’s first and foremost. Be good witnesses. Don’t try and be a hero, be a good witness. You have to save your life while you’re in there. You never know if these things can turn bad or not. So just try and think of what you might do beforehand,” said Sergeant Joe Watts, Indiana State Police.
This isn’t the first time this particular bank has been targeted.
What makes it so attractive to criminals?
“It’s a small town and it’s easy access to U.S. 41 which is a four-lane highway that travels north and south. So, it’s a small town possibly and it’s easy access and getaway,” said Sergeant Watts.
The bank employees and two customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. They were shaken, but no injuries were reported.
